How to Update a DJI Spark Drone

  1. Launch the DJI GO 4 app.

  2. Tap Update Now at the top left of the screen to enter the update firmware screen.

  3. Click the blue Download Now button.

  4. After the download has completed, you will be prompted to connect to your Spark’s own Wi-Fi signal.

  5. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  6. Select Wi-Fi.

  7. Select the Spark network from the list.

  8. Enter the Wi-Fi password, that is on the box, and inside the battery compartment of your Spark. Then select Connect.

  9. Return to the DJI Go 4 app and select Start Update.

  10. Do not leave the app or turn the drone off in this process.
  11. The drone will restart automatically.
  12. Once the update has been installed a prompt will appear, click OK.

  13. When you go back to the home screen a banner should appear at the top of the screen.
  14. We recommend you manually restart your DJI Spark before you begin flying.
  1. Launch the DJI GO 4 app.

  2. Tap Update Now at the top left of the screen to enter the update firmware screen.

  3. Click the blue Download Now button.

  4. After the download has completed, you will be prompted to connect to your Spark’s own Wi-Fi signal.

  5. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  6. Tap Wi-Fi.

  7. Locate and tap the Spark network.

  8. Enter in the Wi-Fi password. It is located on the box, or in the battery compartment of your Spark. Tap Join.

  9. Return to the DJI Go 4 app and select Start Update.

  10. Do not leave the app or turn the drone off in this process.
  11. The drone will restart automatically.

  1. Connect the aircraft to your PC or Mac with a USB cable and ensure your computer is connected to the internet.

  2. Launch DJI Assistant 2.

  4. Sign in to your DJI Account.

  5. Click Firmware Update on the left.

  6. Click Update Now to start updating.

  8. The update will start. Your Spark may restart several times.
