Before We Begin:
  • Have your mobile device with the Vivitar Smart Home Security app installed ready.
  1. Turn off the power, or unplug the lamp that your Vivitar bulb is plugged into.
    Light switch turned off
  2. Wait ten seconds.
  3. Turn the power back on, or plug back in the lamp.
    Light switch on.
  4. Wait one minute for the Vivitar bulb to re-connect automatically.
  1. Open Vivitar Smart Home Security.

  2. Along the bottom, select Devices.

  3. Select Lights from the main app page.

  4. The Lights screen will show the connected devices.

  5. Tap and hold on the light you wish to remove. When prompted, tap Remove device.
    Long Press the light then Tap remove
  1. Open Vivitar Smart Home Security.

  2. Along the bottom, select Devices.

  3. Select Add New Device.

  4. From here, you may add your bulb by either scanning a barcode or by selecting it from a list.

To Add Via Barcode Scan

  1. Tap Scan Barcode.

  2. If prompted, select Allow.

  3. Take a screenshot of your bulb's barcode which is located on the box.

  4. If you have difficulties scanning the barcode, proceed to the next method located below.
  5. Once your bulb is detected, you'll be prompted to Sign in or Create account.

  6. Your bulb is now added. You may now configure your bulb within the app.

To Add Via List

  1. Tap Lights.

  2. Select your light from the list.

  3. Register or Sign in to complete the setup.

  4. Your bulb is now added. You may now configure your bulb from within the app.
  1. Turn off the camera by unplugging the AC charger from the wall, or from the back of the camera.
    Unplugging from outlet.
  2. Wait ten seconds.
    Wait 10 Seconds
  3. Turn the camera back on by plugging it back in.
    Plug into outlet.
  4. Wait one minute for the camera to re-connect automatically.

    Select IP Camera.
  2. You'll be presented with a list of cameras. Select your specific device from the list.

To restart your device via power cycle:

  1. If your device has buttons or a remote control, press the power button to turn it off.

  2. Unplug it from the power outlet and wait for 10 seconds.

  3. Plug it back into the power outlet, then turn it back on from the power button if it has on.
