How to Fix Apps on a Samsung Smart TV

1 Power Cycle Devices

Most of the time, restarting will fix common problems.

  1. Unplug your modem, router, and TV. Do not disconnect any Ethernet cables, just unplug the power cords from the wall.

  2. Plug in your modem and router first, and wait for it to establish a connection.
  3. Plug in the TV and turn it on.

  1. Press the Smart Hub or Home button from your remote.
  2. Select APPS.

  4. Select the app that you want to uninstall or delete.
  5. Select Delete option.

  6. Select Delete to confirm.

  2. Select Apps.

  3. Search for the app you want to install by selecting Magnifying glass icon.

  4. Type the Name of the application you want to install. Then select Done.

  5. Select Download.

  6. Once the download completes, select Open to use your new app.

Perform Network Test to check the internet connection of your Samsung Smart TV.

  1. Select Menu button from your remote.
  2. Select Setup.
  3. Select Network.

  4. In the Network Menu select Network Test.

  5. Your Smart TV will now perform the Test.
    • If you're Smart TV is successfully connected, a check mark will appear next to each part of the test.

  • You may have to shut down or disconnect other unused devices that are connected to the same network.
  • If your device is connected via Wi-Fi, its distance from the router, as well as well as other environmental factors can affect the quality of the signal. Try moving your router to a more central location or use a Wi-Fi extender.
  • The best type of connection is a wired Ethernet connection. If possible, this is the way to go.
