  5. First, select the Clear cache option then test the app to see if the issue is resolved.

  6. It the issue persists, try the Clear data option. This option doesn't delete the app itself but may delete saved information. Once again, test it out before proceeding to the next step.

  7. If the option is available, you can also move the app between internal or external storage (SD Card).
  8. If the issue still persists, then select the Force stop option.

To manually check for a software update on your Amazon Fire TV:

  1. Select Settings.

  5. If an update is available, it will automatically start downloading. Once the download is complete, select Install Update to complete installation.

Resetting your device to its factory settings erases all accounts, and saved settings.

  1. From the main Fire TV menu go to Settings.

  3. After 30 seconds, plug in your modem and then your router.
