1 Learn How to Use Your ecobee Smart Thermostat

Heating and Cooling Ranges

Your ecobee Smart Thermostat can be set to only allow specific heating and cooling temperature ranges. This prevents someone from accidentally selecting an absurdly high or low temperature value when manually adjusting the thermostat.

Adjusting Preferences

You can adjust certain preferences for your ecobee Smart Thermostat including screen brightness and termperature thresholds.

Status Icons

Your ecobee Smart Thermostat uses different icons for settings and notifications.

Room Sensors

Room Sensors allow your thermostat to read the temperature from distant rooms instead of just the thermostat.

Schedules and Comfort Settings

Your ecobee Smart Thermostat uses different 'Comfort settings' that specify what temperatures to maintain while you are Home, Away, or Sleeping. They work in tandem with the 'Schedule' that you've defined to help it determine which Comfort setting it should be using at any given time throughout the day.
