Introduction

This guide will show you how to configure the Geofencing feature of your Apple HomeKit platform. With Geofencing, you can set location-based triggers to activate HomeKit Scenes when arriving or leaving your home.
Before You Begin:
Ecobee and Apple HomeKit should be connected
ecobee.

1 Configure HomeKit Geofence

To Configure the Geofence

  1. Launch the ecobee app.
    Ecobee
  2. Go to the Menu in the top left.

  3. Then go to Manage HomeKit.

  4. Select Geofence.

  5. Turn the switch next to Enable geofence to the On position.

  6. Set the geofence radius by doing a pinching or stretching motion on the touchscreen to decrease or increase its size.

  7. Select a Scene that is triggered (or choose to do nothing) when you enter the geofence boundary.

  8. Select a Scene that is triggered (or choose to do nothing) when you leave the geofence boundary.

  9. Tap Done in the top right to save your settings.
