How to Remove Apps from a Roku Player or TV

With the Roku TV, Player or Stick connected to the Internet you can enjoy online content using the apps offered by various service providers. If you no longer wish to use certain apps, this guide will show you how you can remove them from your Roku device.
Before You Begin:
Connect to the Internet

1 Remove an App from Roku

To remove an app from your Roku, do the following:

  1. Press the Home button on the remote.

  2. Look for the app you wish to remove in the apps grid.

  3. Choose the type of app you wish to remove:
    App Offering Free Content
    1. Highlight the app and press the Options button on the remote.

    2. Select Remove channel.

    3. Confirm your choice with the Remove option.

    4. Wait for the app to get removed.

    5. The app will disappear from the apps grid.
    App Offering Paid-For Content
    1. Highlight the app and press the Options button on the remote.

    2. Select Manage subscription.

    3. Then select Cancel subscription.

    4. You will be shown how long your subscription will last after you cancel it. Confirm your choice by selecting Cancel subscription again.

    5. You will get a confirmation message that the subscription was cancelled. Select Done.

    6. Press the Options button again.
