A simple first check is to be certain the other lights and electronic devices in your home are working properly.

  1. Check if the breaker in your home's breaker box is flipped for the device you're having problems with.

  2. If it is not flipped turn the breaker to the device off.
  3. Wait 10 seconds.

  4. Flip the breaker back on.
  5. Check your device to be sure it has powered back on properly.

The next step involves turning off the power to the switch, and checking the wiring inside.

  1. Turn off the power going to your Ecobee Switch+ at the breaker.

  2. Return to your Ecobee Switch+.
  3. Snap the outer cover panel of the switch from the wall.

  4. Remove the screws holding the Switch+ in place.

  5. Carefully pull your Switch+ from the wall.
  6. Verify the wires are properly connected to the terminals of your Ecobee Switch+.
  7. Verify that the wire nuts connecting your Switch+ to your home's power system are secure and properly in place.

  8. Carefully feed the wires back into your wall.
  9. Replace the screws, re-attaching your Switch+ to the wall.
  10. Snap the cover back into place.
  11. Turn the breaker back on.

If all your lights and electronic devices aren't working, most likely you have an interruption in power to your home.

Contact the utility company you purchase your electricity service from for further assistance.

If many of the electronic devices and lights aren't working, there are other serious problems with the power in your home.
