How to Fix Issues with the Bose Connect App

Introduction

This guide will help you troubleshoot basic issues with the Bose Connect app, used to control your Bose Soundlink Color II speaker.

1 Charge

  1. Connect the USB cable to a wall charger or computer that is turned on.
  2. Connect the USB cable to the charging port on your speaker.

  3. Allow your speaker to charge till the battery light goes green for a full charge.

2 Powercycle

  1. Use the power button on the top of your speaker to turn it off.

  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Push the power button again to turn your speaker on.
  4. Allow it a few moments to start up fully, and attempt to re-pair to your phone or tablet.

  4. Allow it a few moments to start up fully, and attempt to re-pair to your phone or tablet.
  1. Hold down the power button on your Android device.

    Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.

  2. A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.

If the Restart option doesn't show up, tap Power Off instead. Press and hold the power button to turn the device back on.

If the menu doesn't show up, continue holding the power button until the device will turns off.

  1. Open the Bose Connect app.

  2. Make sure your headset or speaker shows up on the screen.

  1. Touch and hold the Bose Connect icon.

  2. Select Uninstall from the menu that opens.

  3. When asked to uninstall, select OK.

  1. Open Play Store.

  2. Type Bose Connect in the search bar and tap Install.

  3. Once installed, tap Open to proceed to the setup.

Powering off an iPhone.

  1. Hold down the lock / power button.
  2. Slide to power off when prompted.
  3. Wait until the phone is off.
  4. Hold down the lock / power button until you see the Apple logo.

  1. Touch and hold the Bose Connect icon.

  2. Select the X in the corner of the Bose Connect icon.

  3. Select Delete.

  1. Open the App Store.

  2. Type in "Bose Connect" in the search bar.
  3. Find Bose Connect in the search results and tap on GET.

  4. Tap on Install to start download.
