  1. Rotate the on/off switch on the top of your camera to Off.

  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Turn your camera back On.
  1. Hold down the power button on your Android device.

    Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.
  2. Select Power Off.

    If the menu does not pop up, continue to hold the power button, and your Android device will shut off.
  3. Wait 30 seconds.

  4. Push and hold the Power button for a few moments, and your Android device will start back up.

This app requires location services to be enabled on your device to function properly.

  1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  2. Scroll down, and select Location.

  3. Make sure Location services are turned On at the top.

Verify Camera Wi-Fi is Enabled

  1. Press the Wi-Fi Function button on top of your camera.

  2. Look on your camera screen. You will see the network name listed, it begins with FUJIFILM-X-T1-.

Test App

  1. Open the Fujifilm Camera Remote app.

  2. Select Connect.

  3. Try some of the features of the app; make sure you can use the remote function, or browse images on your camera.

  1. Touch and hold the Fujifilm Camera Remote icon.

  2. Select Uninstall.

  3. Select OK to remove the app.

  1. Launch the Play Store on your smartphone.

  2. Select the search bar at the top.

  3. Type in "FUJIFILM Camera Remote", then select FUJIFILM Camera Remote from the list.

  4. Select Install.

  5. This app requires extra permissions. When prompted, select Accept.

  6. Once installed, you can select Open now to open it.

We will return to the app in a moment, our next step is to enable Wi-Fi mode on your camera.

  1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  2. Select Wi-Fi.

  3. Select your camera's Wi-Fi Network. The name will begin with FUJIFILM-X-T1-, it will not have any password on it.
  4. Open the Fujifilm Camera Remote app.

The camera and your smart device need to be within a reasonable range of each other in order to connect and have the best connection speeds.

  • In general, in most conditions, you can be up to 30 feet from your camera for a decent connection.
  • From 30' to 50' away, the speeds will be slower, and may drop occasionally, but it should be usable.
  • Greater than 50' away, and the signal will most likely be too weak to overcome interference. The speeds will be slow, and the connection may be sporadic.
Try moving closer to your camera.
  1. Rotate the on/off switch on the top of your camera to Off.

  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Turn your camera back On.

Powering off an iPhone.

  1. Hold down the lock / power button.
  2. Slide to power off when prompted.
  3. Wait until the phone is off.
  4. Hold down the lock / power button until you see the Apple logo.

This app requires location services to be enabled on your device to function properly.

  1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  2. Select Privacy.

  4. Make sure Location Services is turned On at the top. Look through the list of programs below, and make sure Cam Remote has "While Using" or "Always" selected.

  1. Press the Wi-Fi Function button on top of your camera.

  1. On the main screen of your iOS device, look for the FUJiFILM icon.

  2. Tap on hold the icon until an X shows up on its top left corner. Tap on the X.

  3. You will be asked whether you want to delete the app. Tap on Delete to confirm.

  1. Open the App Store.

  2. Select Search in the bottom right corner.

  3. Type in "FUJIFILM Camera Remote", then select Search.

  4. Select Get for FUJIFILM Camera Remote.

  5. Select Open to open the app now, if you wish.

  3. Make sure that the Wi-Fi feature is enabled by flipping the On/Off switch to the green position.
  4. Select your camera's Wi-Fi Network. The name will begin with FUJIFILM-X-T1-, it will not have any password on it.
  5. Open the Fujifilm Camera Remote app.
