  2. Your Beats Studio3 will begin to charge.
  1. Make sure your headset has at least some charge on it. About 10-15 minutes charging with the included cable should give you a few hours of playback time.
  2. Turn on your Beats headset by pushing and holding the power button for 1 second. The lights below the power button will light up to indicate how much charge it has.

  3. Connect your Beats headset to the device you'd like to listen to, either with a mini-jack cable, the RemoteTalk cable, or with Bluetooth.
  4. Try playing some music, or watching a video with sound.
For the next step, we'll need to determine what kind of connection you are using with your headphones.

The device needs to be within a reasonable range in order to connect.

  • In general, to pair and use a Bluetooth device (like a speaker, headset or smartwatch), the device needs to be within 10 feet of your computer or other device.
  • Some medium and higher-power devices can be farther, up to about 30 feet, but this tends to be for larger devices that plug in or have very large batteries, such as another computer, media streaming device, or a plug-in speaker system.

Try moving the Bluetooth device closer if you have trouble.

Try playing the music you're listening to back on another type of speaker. For example, the built-in speaker for your phone, or on your computer.

Make sure the source of your sound doesn't have any cracks, pops, or otherwise odd sounds. If it does, try a different source of music, then try your Beats headset again.
