How to Factory Reset an August Doorbell Cam Pro

Introduction

A factory reset will reset the August Doorbell system back to default settings. This is typically done when there is a problem that can only be fixed with a reset or if you want to sell or give it away.

Factory resetting the doorbell cam will erase all guest and owner data, restoring it back to its original condition. It will also remove the Doorbell from any owners' or guests' keychain. You will need to start over, and re-setup your August Doorbell Cam.

1 Reset

  1. Remove your Doorbell Cam from its wall mount by first turning the security screw at the bottom clockwise, then pulling out from the bottom of the unit.

  2. Push and hold the RESET button on back of the unit for 5 seconds.

  3. Reattach the Doorbell Cam to its mount by fitting the top first, then pushing the bottom until it snaps into place.

2 Re-Setup?

Factory reset removes everything from your August Doorbell Cam. In order to use it again, you will need to re-setup the device.
