There are many different Intelligent Personal Assistant platforms currently available, each offering different features and abilities, as well as certain custom hardware.

Google Home

IFTTT
IFTTTA web-based service used to create simple conditional statements to create integrated, automatic actions with your home automation equipment.

Sylvania Smart+ devices are Bluetooth devices. They require you to be in range to use them.
  1. Open Google Home.
    Google Home.
  2. Select Accounts at the bottom.

  3. Select Set up or add.

  4. Select Set up device.

  5. Select Works with Google.

  6. Scroll through the list, and select SYLVANIA Smart Home.

  7. Fill in your Email, and Password for your Sylvania account, then select Sign in.

  8. After a few moments, Google will be able to control your Sylvania smart devices. This includes from your smartphone, and your various Google Home speakers.

At this time, your smart home device is not supported by the platform you have chosen.

You can request support from the manufacturer, or use a different home automation platform.

To add a new accessory or device to your HomeKit setup:

  1. Open the Home app.

  2. Choose Add Accessory, or tap the symbol.
  3. If you are asked to add an accessory, tap Allow.
  4. Use a camera to take a picture of the HomeKit code or QR code on the accessory or documentation.

  5. If you have an iPhone 7 or later, and see the the below symbol instead, just hold your phone next to the accessory for a few moments.

  6. You'll be asked to enter the details about the device, such as what room the device is in, the name you want to give it. Enter this information so it's easier to find in the future.

  7. Tap Done when you've got all the information entered.
  1. Read the in-app instructions and when finished, tap OK, got it.
  2. The app will display the Things page.
  3. Tap Add a Thing.

  4. The app will say Looking for devices…

  5. While the Hub searches, perform the connection/inclusion process specific to that device.
    • Consult the device's manual for instructions.
  6. When the device is discovered, it will be listed at the top of the screen.

  7. Tap the device to rename it and tap Done.
  8. When finished, tap Save.
  9. Tap Ok to confirm.

  10. You’re all done! Enjoy your new smart home.
  1. Select Add to Wink.

  2. Select the category your device falls under or the barcode scanner.

  3. Select your device.

  4. If you are asked to allow Wink to access the device location, select Allow.
