How to Add TP-Link Light Bulbs to Google Home

You'll Learn:
  • How to link your TP-Link smart bulb to Google Home.
You'll Need:
  • Your Kasa and Google accounts' credentials available.
  • Your TP-Link Kasa smart bulb to be already installed and set up in the Kasa Smart app on your mobile device, and in your Kasa account.
  • The Google Home app installed on your mobile device.

1 Link TP-Link Kasa Device

  1. Launch the Google Home app.
    Google Home.
  2. Tap Add on the main screen.

  3. On the Add and manage screen, tap Set up device.

  4. Under Works with Google, tap Have something already set up?.

  5. Scroll through the list of smart home device providers and look for TP-Link or Kasa. Since the list is rather long you can also tap Search and enter the name to locate it quicker.

  6. Select TP-Link Kasa.

  7. Sign in with your Kasa account and allow Google Assistant to control your TP-Link Kasa devices using your voice.

  8. You'll be shown a list of devices that were imported from your Kasa account.
  9. Select a home and room for each device that was imported.
  10. You can now give voice commands to Google Assistant to control your linked devices.
