How to Add Sengled Smart Light Bulb to Xfinity Home

Introduction

This guide will help you add a compatible Sengled Element bulb to your Xfinity Home system.
Before You Begin:
  • Be sure your professionally-installed and managed Xfinity Home system is functioning properly.

Supported Sengled Bulbs

At this time, only a few, very specific Sengled bulbs are supported by the Xfinity Home system. You do not need an additional hub; your supported Sengled bulbs will connect and be controlled directly from your Xfinity Home system.

1 How to Install the Bulb

  1. Turn off the power to the lamp or light fixture where you want the smart light.
    Light switch off.
  2. Remove your old bulb.
  3. Carefully screw in your new Sengled bulb.

2 Add a Smart Home Device to the Xfinity Home App

Adding a Device

In order to use a home automation device with your Xfinity Home system, you need to link your account for that device to your Xfinity Home system.

  1. Open Xfinity Home.

  2. Select More in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Select Add a Device.

  4. Select your device.
  5. Follow the instructions on screen to link your account to your Xfinity Home system.

Using A Device

Once linked to your Xfinity Home account, you can assign triggers to your home automation devices, controlled by Xfinity Home.

  1. Open Xfinity Home.

  2. Select Automation at the bottom.

  3. Here you'll find all your current scenes and rules. Select Add in the top-right corner to add a new rule.
