How to Add and Remove Channels on TCL Roku Smart TV

Introduction

The TCL brand of Roku powered televisions don't have regular apps. They call their apps "channels" and curate them to make sure you're getting the best experience from your television.
Before You Begin:
Your TV must be connected to the internet.

1 How to Add Channels

  1. Press Home on your remote to open the main screen.

  2. Scroll down and select Streaming Channels to open the Channel Store.

  3. At the top of the Channel Store is a list of featured, new and popular categories to explore.
  4. Scroll down and select Search Channels.

  5. Type in the name of the channel you wish to add, then push Right > on your remote.

  6. Select the channel you wish to install.

  7. Select Add channel.

  8. A brief message will appear, letting you know the channel is added to the end of your home screen, and you can move it using the Option * menu. Select OK.

If the channel you added is a channel with premium, paid-for content, you will be prompted for your username and password for that service. This is separate from your Roku account in most cases.
