Linksys Wireless Gateway won't work in wireless mode

Linksys router incorrectly configured for wireless access.  Reset router to defaults and configured from scratch.  Configured computers for wireless access with security for the customer's Windows Vista and Windows XP computers.

I purchased a new Linksys Wireless Gateway today and though I was able to connect to the Net via an ethernet or USB cable, I was unable to connect in wireless mode. Although I'd previously installed a similar unit quickly and without a problem, I spent 5 hours today trying to troubleshoot the problem without success.
