Unable to transfer music to Ipod shuffle

The customer reported that he could not transfer music to his Ipod shuffle. The Solutions Engineer identified the problem to be that Ipod shuffle was not getting recognized by the PC. The Solutions Engineer opened up the device manager and uninstalled and scanned for hardware changes. The customer had playlists on his Itunes, so the Solutions Engineer dragged the playlists and connected it to the Ipod and synced it.
