Malware causes Internet Explorer error

The customer could not access websites through Internet Explorer which was throwing up a "requested lookup key was not found in any active context" error. The Solutions Engineer detected a number of problems the most significant being a bunch of malware infections. The Solutions Engineer cleaned the malware, repaired the windows installation and Internet Explorer to fix the problem.

Well, I was at the end of my rope -- PC browser would not function and other support sites I was able to call (most of the services numbers I had bookmarked and were inaccessable).
