Unable to access Hotmail

Customer Tech Support Issues
Subscriber reported that his Hotmail page wouldn't load and that his VPN wouldn't connect. Determined he had 2 routers - Embarq's DSL modem/router and a Linksys Wireless router. This caused network navigation issues, especially when trying to get to a "secure" connection. Disabled DHCP on the Linksys (set it to 192.168.2.254)and had him plug in to one of the empty LAN ports. Linksys is now a switch/WAP only. Everything works, and faster than before.

I couldn't connect to my VPN or AOL or Hotmail. The technician explained that my DSL device was serving as a router and my router was serving as a router which was slowing things down and causing the problem. He had me switch a cable and adjust an IP address. Things work great now.
