What is the Trojan.Peacomm Virus?
The Peacomm Trojan has been known to steal personal information
Trojan.Peacomm (Peacomm, or Trojan Peacomm) is a Trojan Hacker Tool that invades your computer via infected email spam. This infected email then installs a driver that loads during your computer's startup. Upon startup Trojan.Peacomm then "Calls home" using peer-to-peer communication through UDP ports that are opened up upon install. Peacomm then downloads further infections onto your computer. Moreover, Trojan.Peacomm has been known to steal personal information through installing keylogging programs onto the infected computer; thus, immediate removal is strongly suggested.
How to identify the Email carrying Trojan.Peacomm Virus
The email bearing the Peacomm payload often arrives as a blank email and has one of the following subject lines and an attachment. The file attachments have names that appear to be videos of some sort. However, they are not videos but rather infected executable files. It is always best to have your settings configured so that file extensions shown, so that you can identify what type of file you are about to 'run'.
The infected email will have a subject similar to one of these:

- The file attachments may be called something like:

How to Remove Trojan.Peacomm Virus
The Trojan.Peacomm virus is a high risk Trojan; it will damage your computer and possibly steal your personal information for the "hacker's" gain.
